FitoHorm 55 Fe fertilizer solution provides solution for iron supply through foliage which serves as a quick and stable format for plants due to its chelate generation component.
Iron has an important role in the chlorophyll and protein synthesis, it is an enzyme generator, it mainly regulates respiration and metabolism. It circulates in the plant with difficulty, therefore it is an element with low mobilisation level. Iron deficiency mainly occurs in grape and fruit cultures.
Relative iron deficiency may occur in compacted, airless, alkaline or cold soil. First interveinal parts, later the veins become white, the leaves become bright yellow (yellow leaf disease). The symptom emerges acutely in cold and damp weather. The intake of iron is inhibited by calcium ions, furthermore potassium deficiency facilitates the above symptoms. Iron deficiency can be also caused by the surplus of heavy metals (Cu, Co, Zn, Mn) in acidic soil.
